Home Affairs

Whilst JayCee is a solo performer I also very much enjoy working with other artistes.  One of my favourite regular venues for this is Moor Park Golf Club, a superb example of a fine country mansion.

I have my own Scottish Ceilidh band, Glen High, and have been performing here on Burns Night for many years using Peter Jenkins, Rod Dorothy and Simon Wales on every occasion.  These guys are awesome.

Two other gigs in the last month at this venue has had me playing piano for different clients.  This has been more background jazz and easy listening and on one of these occasions I joined up with David Lukins on accordion.  David is an old friend, and without doubt one of the finest players in this country and it was a real joy and honour to work with him.  The subsequent popularity of this format has encouraged me to form an acoustic duo called Kniteshift and a new website is under construction.

Whilst I do not wish to itemise my gig list on a week by week basis, as most is performed for private clients, I would just mention some earlier performances (I had more hair in those days) which I feel proud of:

  • I toured with Stevie Wonder
  • Jammed with Hendrix
  • Gigged for a good while with The Flower Pot Men and Geno Washington
  • Made a live album with Screaming Lord Sutch who also used Ritchie Blackmore and Nick Simper on guitar (from Deep Purple), Keith Moon on drums and other excellent artistes – too many to mention though Wembley stadium on the Cliff Richard show was a gas….
